VoidRender (RIFE Interpolation/FFmpeg converter)
A downloadable tool
!!!!! THIS IS FOR WINDOWS
!!!!! YOU NEED A GPU THAT IS CAPABLE OF VULKAN (at least for RIFE)
Trailer for the Video Interpolation (shows every type of alpha option):
15 FPS vs. 30 FPS comparison:
Hello, this is the new Video Interpolation (RIFE) and FFmpeg Converter program with many versatile uses. It may or may not be particularly interesting for RenPy users.
Output MANY formats, with options to make certain formats transparent, with Sidemask, or with only the alpha. You can also apply RIFE interpolation (if you want), but it’s optional. Use it to turn 15fps to 30fps, 30fps to 60fps, or even higher with multipliers like 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x.
This is the overall Program.
Turn ON/OFF the Alpha or RIFE:
If your input doesn’t have alpha, it’s best to keep alpha off. RIFE can handle both transparency and non-transparency.
Output Formats:
Choose what you want to do with Alpha:
No Alpha: Outputs the frames/file without alpha at all.
With Alpha: Outputs the frames/file with alpha. (Requires the correct format to preserve transparency.)
Alpha Only: Outputs the frames/file as greyscale, which can be used as a mask or for other purposes. (Greyscale means it will be completely white.)
Alpha SideMask: Mostly interesting for RenPy (at least I don’t know other use cases). It outputs the frames/file with a sidemask: the left side is RGB, and the right side is greyscale. This can be used to apply side_mask in Movie() in RenPy.
RIFE Settings:
Here you can set some settings for RIFE.
- UHD: Best for 4K and above resolutions.
- Multiplier: Determines how many FPS you want in your output (e.g., 2x, 4x, 8x).
- TTA (Test-Time Augmentation): Improves quality but slows down the process.
- GPU Device: Set to -1 for CPU, or 1/2 for multi-GPU.
FFmpeg Settings:
(Only the performance settings. Other settings are automatically configured based on your chosen output format, codec, or pixel format.)
- Acceleration: Use None or Cuda for best performance.
- Threads: Adjust based on your system’s capabilities.
Choose the Inputs / Output Folder:
You can input a folder with images or a video file (which will be converted to a folder with images automatically). If the video has audio, it will also be extracted for further use.
You can also DRAG & DROP input files/folders or audio files.
Choose the Name:
Clear History or Save the Audio:
If you want to reset to one input folder or clear the history, use these buttons. You can also save the audio to a different location.
Check the Progress:
Change the Output Resolution:
Choose between input resolution or predefined resolutions from 720p up to 8K.
Change the Input Framerate:
The output resolution is calculated automatically based on input FPS and RIFE settings (including the multiplier).
Choose the Quality and Format:
There are different quality settings for different output formats.
For example, here’s the settings for .mov with ProRes codec:
Save GUI Settings or Overwrite Existing Files:
Start the Process:
